Pre-release notice: Maraze’s public availability and purchase flows remain subject to release validation. These terms may be updated before launch.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Maraze mobile application, website, instructional content, and related features (together, “Maraze”). By downloading, accessing, or using Maraze, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use Maraze.

If you download Maraze through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s applicable usage rules and licensed-application terms also apply. If these Terms of Use conflict with mandatory consumer law, that law controls.

Subscription, payment, renewal, cancellation, and service-availability terms are described separately in our Terms of Service.

2. Maraze is a general-wellness guide

Maraze provides educational guidance for gentle self-massage and relaxation routines. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, physical therapy, massage therapy, or emergency care. Maraze does not establish a clinician-patient or therapist-client relationship.

No bodily result is promised. Maraze can make placement, movement, pressure, pace, and stop cues clearer; it cannot guarantee pain relief, relaxation, improved posture, injury recovery, or any other physical outcome.

Do not use Maraze as a substitute for advice or care from a qualified healthcare professional. If symptoms are severe, sudden, persistent, worsening, or concerning—or a health condition may affect whether massage is appropriate—seek professional guidance before using a routine.

3. Safety and responsible use

You remain responsible for deciding whether a routine is suitable for you and for how you perform it.

  • Begin with feather-light or light pressure. More pressure is not necessarily more effective.
  • Stay within a comfortable range and follow the placement, pressure, and area-specific safety cues.
  • Do not massage injured, swollen, bruised, infected, hot, red, numb, or highly sensitive areas.
  • Avoid direct pressure on bones, joints, the spine, the front of the neck, and any area the guide tells you to avoid.
  • Use Maraze only when you can pay attention. Do not use it while driving, operating equipment, or in another unsafe situation.
  • Ask for clear consent before touching another person, check their comfort throughout, and stop immediately when asked.

Stop immediately if you experience pain, dizziness, numbness, tingling, weakness, nausea, or unusual discomfort. Contact emergency services when urgent care may be needed.

4. Camera and guide modes

Camera use is optional. If you choose live-mirror mode, Maraze places fixed instructional overlays over the camera preview on your device. It does not identify you, scan your body, detect anatomy, evaluate posture, sense pressure, infer a health condition, or adapt guidance to your body.

Maraze does not call camera-frame capture or recording functions for these routines. Camera frames are not saved to session history or sent to a Maraze server. You may deny or later revoke camera permission and use guide-only mode with the same timers, guide media, optional voice cues, haptics, and step controls.

You are responsible for positioning your device safely and keeping the surrounding area clear. A visual guide is an instructional reference, not confirmation that your placement is correct or safe.

5. Eligibility and minors

You may use Maraze only if you can legally agree to these terms in your location. If you are under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must review these terms and supervise your use. Maraze is not directed to young children.

A parent or guardian who permits a minor to use Maraze is responsible for the minor’s use, including routine selection, device permissions, and any purchase authorization.

6. Personal-use license

Subject to these terms and any applicable app-store rules, the application provider grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to use Maraze on devices you own or control for your own lawful, non-commercial wellness use.

This license does not transfer ownership of Maraze or its content. Access to paid features also requires an active entitlement under the Terms of Service.

7. Prohibited conduct

You may not:

  • use Maraze for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes;
  • present Maraze guidance as medical care or as professional massage, physical-therapy, or clinical advice;
  • use a routine on another person without their informed and continuing consent;
  • copy, sell, sublicense, publicly distribute, or commercially exploit Maraze or its instructional content;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, bypass, or tamper with Maraze except where applicable law expressly permits it;
  • circumvent purchase, entitlement, access-control, security, or technical restrictions;
  • introduce malicious code, overload the service, scrape content at scale, or interfere with another user’s access; or
  • use Maraze to violate another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other legal rights.

8. Content and ownership

Maraze, Mara, the app design, written routines, guide animations, audio, artwork, software, trademarks, and other materials are owned by or licensed to the application provider and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Suggestions or feedback you voluntarily provide may be used to improve Maraze without restriction or compensation, provided we do not identify you publicly without permission.

9. Data and device storage

Maraze currently stores profile choices, favorites, reminder settings, progress, and session history locally on your device. Session history records a routine identifier, completion time, and elapsed duration—not camera images or video. There is currently no customer account or cloud sync, so local information may be lost if you delete the app, clear its data, replace your device, or lose access to it.

Maraze also uses service providers for App Store purchase status, attribution and deep links, and masked diagnostics. Camera privacy does not mean Maraze collects no technical data. Privacy notices presented in the app or App Store explain current data practices and control where they conflict with this summary.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maraze is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for your particular needs or circumstances.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the application provider and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, goodwill, or opportunities arising from your use of or inability to use Maraze.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights. Your jurisdiction may provide rights that apply in addition to these terms.

11. Changes and contact

We may update these Terms of Use as Maraze, the law, or our practices change. The revised terms will show a new effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request consent before material changes apply.

Questions about these terms may be sent through the support contact shown on Maraze’s App Store product page. Maraze is provided by the application provider identified in that listing.
